DR. E. RHETT HUBLEY, MD

JOINTS FOR LIFE

You probably
don't need
surgery.

Most Orthopedic conditions can be appropriately treated without surgery. Some problems require surgery, some do not.

Ultimately my job is to help my patients understand the problem and make informed decisions regarding treatment.

Therefore all potential treatments, both conservative and surgical, will be discussed. In most instances, nothing is lost through conservative treatment and no bridges are burned. Remember that you can’t try conservative options after you’ve had surgery.

A NEW FOCUS

Book a
consultation

I’ve had a wonderful surgical practice in Baldwin County for the past 22 years. I’ve done thousands of procedures over the years and have been very satisfied with the well being I’ve helped to restore to most peoples’ lives.

Health care in the US has changed quite dramatically in the recent past. Patient advocacy is one of my primary concerns, so I’ve decided to devote more time to patient education to help people navigate a constantly changing healthcare system. Educated patients can assume responsibility for decisions regarding their own treatment and usually have better outcomes.

ULTRASOUND-GUIDED INJECTIONS

I have successfully treated arthritis pain for up to 15 years or so with periodic injections every few months.

Steroids are the most potent anti-inflammatory treatment available and can be placed directly into the affected joint. Ultrasound guidance allows more accurate placement of the injections to achieve the maximal effect.

THE ULTIMATE ASSISTANT

Performing surgery was one of the most rewarding things in my life so I decided to stay involved in the process as an assistant surgeon.

Based on first hand experience, my partners are all exceptional surgeons technically and I’m pleased to be able to contribute. It’s a win/win situation for everyone involved.

The patient gets two surgeons. My partners get an assistant who knows the procedures and I get to be part of the team.
